Northam Senior High School was built at the current site in 1920-21, and opened in October 1921. Since then many thousands of students have attended the School, taught by thousands of teachers. During that time former students have fought in wars; built careers across a wealth of industries and sports; and succeeded using the skills they developed during their time at NSHS. It has been an important part of our lives and we have made lifelong friends. It is fitting that the School motto is "Achievement"

It’s been a while since we have sent out anything, so I am pleased to send an update in the attached newsletter from Norman Moore, the Chair of the Alumni.
Most recently there was a reunion for Students and Teachers who were graduates of NSHS from the 1940s and 1950s. It was held at the Avon Bridge Hotel in Northam and about 50 people attended, including Elaine Lawrence nee Leeder who was a student from 1939 to 1943. Elaine found some memorabilia for the occasion: a hatband, tie and pin from the school uniform of the day – see attached photo. With her is Raeleen Mason nee Martin, who together with Gwen Bryden nee Moorhouse and Lynne Sierociak nee Angus, organised the very successful gathering.
There are plans to hold more decade reunions – if you have the time and energy to help, please contact us.
I hope this finds you well and keeping warm!
