A Message from the Principal

At Northam Senior High School, we work together to build a positive school culture that is based on our values of Courage, Collaboration, Connection and Communication.

Our school consists of dedicated, talented staff, committed to doing what is in the best interest of students. We share a common goal; to assist every student in every classroom, experience growth and progress, everyday. As such, we work diligently in striving for student success in all its forms.

At Northam Senior High School, priority is given to student wellbeing. We know that students need to feel safe, happy, and valued by their teachers and peers, so that quality learning can take place. We endeavour to foster positive connected relationships and to celebrate not only individual achievements, but also the achievements, progress and growth of others. We take time to acknowledge and appreciate where we have come from and where we are headed in the future.

Our school community is a vibrant and diverse representation of society, where students learn and grow. We rely on the local community, parents and families to partner with us in their children’s learning journey and encourage open communication. We work to ensure that our school is culturally responsive to the cultures, languages, experiences and world views of our students, their families and our wider community. With the support of the Polly Farmer Foundation, Clontarf Foundation, Waalitj Foundation, Australian Business and Community Network, Curtin University and Edith Cowan University, our program partnerships empower our  students to aim high, through a range of academic, cultural, wellbeing, sporting and entrepreneur opportunities.

Catering for Years 7 - 12, we offer comprehensive and innovative programs that support students to achieve their potential. Our ethos encourages personal development and academic aspiration while guiding student’s future pathway choices. Students are able choose an ATAR, General, VET or Big Picture Learning pathway, preparing them for University entry, TAFE qualification or Employment.

Above all else, our school prides itself on having a balance of opportunity with the aspiration to be provide “all things, for all people”.

We welcome your enquiry and look forward to hosting you on a tour of our school.
