Bush Ranger Cadets

The Bush Rangers WA program is run by the Department of Local Government and Communities.

It aims to engage young people with an interest in the outdoors, wildlife and nature and work towards building a sustainable natural environment.

Northam Senior High School supports the completion of Completion of Levels 1, 2 and 3 by Bush Ranger cadets in Years 10, 11 and 12 and combines a range of practical and theoretical concepts to encourage the active conservation of our natural world.

When it comes to fun, friendship and fellowship, our cadet group is very hard to beat.

Our members love camping out under the stars, chin-wagging beside a roaring fire or parading in full regalia at the Northam ANZAC service.

We learn new skills too, such as map reading, orienteering and first aid. Our paper recycling programme also gives our group and important environmental focus, demonstrating our strong positive values.

Why not join us?

New members always receive a very warm welcome and you are guaranteed a variety of challenging, yet rewarding and enjoyable experiences.
